The Goodyear "Roll Out Rewards" program was an integrated digital loyalty platform designed to simplify tire maintenance and bridge the gap between digital engagement and physical service center visits. As showcased in `goodyear.jpg`, this initiative utilized a mobile application and a web-based rewards portal to provide users with essential vehicle data, maintenance tracking, and exclusive promotional incentives.

Challenge
Drivers often struggle to keep track of critical tire maintenance—such as tread wear, rotation schedules, and general service needs—leading to delayed safety checks and missed service opportunities. The challenge was to create a digital ecosystem that incentivized consistent participation in the brand's loyalty program, transformed mundane maintenance into an engaging mobile experience, and seamlessly integrated physical service visits with digital rewards.

Approach
I led the UX strategy and experience design for this cross-platform solution, ensuring a cohesive narrative from the initial promotional enrollment email to ongoing vehicle management. Key design features included:

  • Mobile Functionality: I designed a comprehensive mobile app featuring a "tire tread wear scanner" and a QR code scanner for sweepstakes and rewards redemption.

  • Service Integration: I developed a personalized dashboard to track account info, including tire type, last tread reading, service reports, and upcoming due dates for rotations and oil changes.

  • Engagement Loops: I implemented a "coalition redemption" model that integrated social media check-ins at service stations, providing users with immediate incentives and encouraging repeat visits.

Impact
The Roll Out Rewards program effectively gamified vehicle maintenance, turning a functional requirement into a rewarding brand interaction. By providing users with intuitive, real-time vehicle insights through the app—as seen in the device displays in `goodyear.jpg`—we observed a significant increase in user engagement and service center traffic. The platform successfully established a direct digital link to the consumer, fostering brand loyalty through proactive maintenance reminders and exclusive, targeted discount offers.
